The next sweet OS

Android has been in market from quite some time. Google has been making new changes and upgrading their OS. Their code names of each version are based on sweets.
From 2.1 to Froyo to GingerBread to Ice cream sandwich to the next new one - Jelly Beans.

Jelly Beans is expected to be out in Oct or Nov this year. These are unconfirmed reports and Google has not release any official information on that, but with what is heard the new version is going to be a game changing stuff.

Earlier the new changes were supposed to be release for Ice cream sandwich but now are targeted for jelly beans. There are some major architectural, functional, and design changes in Ice Cream Sandwich, so this is still going to be a big-time release.
With rumors of the Ice Cream Sandwich-powered Nexus Prime from Samsung hitting a fever pitch lately, it seems likely that an announcement is imminent.

It is also heard from another source that Jelly Bean is in the running for the name, but that the choice hasn’t yet been finalized by Google; for what it’s worth, the pickings are fairly slim for desserts with “J” names, so Jelly Bean seems like a solid choice.
